Welcome

The Alexander Technique is a method for improving your posture and natural poise in everything you do, for example how you walk, stand, lift things or sit at a desk. It can transform particular activities such as how you play an instrument or give a presentation. It works by promoting your awareness of your body in movement, helping you to identify and prevent harmful postural habits that maybe the cause of stress and pain.
The Technique shows you how to move with less effort and more efficiency, to become poised without stiffness. Applying the Technique in your life will make you more alert and focussed, able to breathe and speak more easily and be more confident about the use of your body and whole self. Alexander Technique enables you to improve your overall functioning, health and well-being.

I'm based in the Oldfield Park area of Bath. I am a qualified Alexander teacher, and a member of the Society of Teachers of The Alexander Technique (M.S.T.A.T.).

If you'd like to find out more about what it's like to have lessons, you can read comments by people I have taught.
You can try the Alexander Technique for yourself by having an introductory lesson with me, there is no obligation to have more lessons. Just phone to arrange it at a time to suit you, I am available between Mondays and Fridays including later appointments after work.

I hold small group introductory workshops from time to time, this can be another way to find out more about what the Technique can do for you first hand.
